Hi! I'm Yuko.  Born in Tokyo, I spent my childhood growing up in Tokyo, London, Philadelphia and the suburbs of New Jersey - and found home in NYC.  I'm an actress, writer, musician and filmmaker.  My practice is amorphous, I've accepted that I am best when free of borders and categorization.

My film projects have been supported by the Sundance Institute, The Jerome Foundation, The New Yorker Films, NYFA, NYSCA and the Hot Docs Deal Maker.  Acting credits include stints on the Netflix series The Watcher, CBS’ Elsbeth and Audible’s Podcast Series The Space Within.  ​I make soundtracks and film soundscapes under TOOSDAY and have contributed to commercials, films and podcasts.
